Development 1

The Development 1 clinic is designed for coaches working with players at the competitive levels of hockey - Rep B Peewee & above. The clinic is a two day event. Coaches will receive approximatly 12 hours of in-class instruction and 4 hours of on-ice instruction. Coaches taking the Development 1 clinic will be required to complete a take-away clinic assignment that will be submttted to HEO for assessment.

Not all coaching levels that require Development 1 require the coach to be fully certified. Coachces at the AAA level and above must certify at the Development 1 level. Coaches at the Reb B, A and AA levels are required to be trained only.
To be trained the coach must attend the Development 1 clinic and submit and pass the take home assignment.
To become fully certified at the Development 1 level a coach will also be required to complete and pass:
     Dev 1 Field Evaluation
     Make Ethical Decisions (Competition-Introduction) online evaluation.
