Hockey Eastern Ontario is producing a five episode YouTube Podcast series on Skill Acquisition. The series will be conducted over the month of May with a new
episode each week. All episodes will be available on the
Hockey Eastern Ontario YouTube Channel
Brian Gillam, HEO Coach Development Coordinator, will be interviewing five experts from the field of skill acquisition. Our guests bring a wide range of
perspectives on the topcic, from the academic and research perspective to the practical/implementation perspective.
Episodes will dive into such concepts as Ecological Dynamics, Constraints Led Approach, Non-Linear vs Linear Development, Perception-Action Coupling and
Learning Theories and how these impact on athletes becoming skillful and how we as coaches design and conduct practice sessions.
