Bursaries

As part of their continued support of the student athlete, HEO is offering three (5) new bursaries for the 2015-16 season. In addition to the Jim Stirling Bursary, Dwaine Barkley Bursary and the HEO Bursaries this year HEO members may be eligible for the Kelly Santini Bursary, Jody Mitic Bursary, Bob Monette Bursary, Ottawa 67s Bursary or the Smith, Petrie, Carr & Scott Insurance Brokers Bursary.

Jim Stirling $1,000.00 Educational Bursary

B.F. LORENZETTI AND ASSOCIATES INC., the insurance brokers of Hockey Canada, will be providing the Jim Stirling $1,000.00 bursary to a Branch member enrolled in a post-secondary institution or graduating from high school in the spring of 2016.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • All persons registered in the Branch and in good standing are eligible
  • You must be graduating from high school in 2016 or be enrolled in a post-secondary institution
  • If you are graduating from high school in 2016, you must be pursuing a career requiring further education or training (e.g. university, college, trade school etc.)

Dwaine Barkley $2,000.00 Educational Bursary

The Dwaine Barkley Bursary is a $2,000.00 bursary which will be awarded to a Branch member, who has played Jr. B, enrolled in a post-secondary institution or graduating from high school in the spring of 2016.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • All persons registered in the Branch and in good standing are eligible
  • Must have played Jr. B during the 2015-2016 season
  • You must be graduating from high school in 2016 or be enrolled in a post-secondary institution
  • If you are graduating from high school in 2016, you must be pursuing a career requiring further education or training (e.g. university, college, trade school etc.)

HEO $1,000.00 Educational Bursaries

HEO will be providing a $1,000.00 educational bursary to four (4) Branch members enrolled in a post-secondary institution or graduating from high school in the spring of 2016.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • You must be graduating from high school in 2016 or be enrolled in a post-secondary institution

Kelly Santini LLP will be providing a $1,000.00 educational bursary to one (1) Branch member enrolled in a post-secondary institution or graduating from high school in the spring of 2016.

Councilor Jody Mitic will be providing a $250.00 educational bursary to one (1) Branch member enrolled in a post-secondary institution or graduating from high school in the spring of 2016.

  • All persons with a postal code starting with K1B/K4B/K1W/K1C, registered in the Branch and in good standings are eligible
  • You must be graduating from high school in 2016 or be enrolled in a post-secondary institution
  • If you are graduating from high school in 2016, you must be pursuing a career requiring further education or training (e.g. university, college, trade school etc.)

Councilor Bob Monette will be providing a $250.00 educational bursary to one (1) Branch member enrolled in a post-secondary institution or graduating from high school in the spring of 2016.

  • You must be graduating from high school in 2016 or be enrolled in a post-secondary institution

The Ottawa 67’s will be providing a $1,000.00 educational bursary to one (1) Branch member enrolled in a post-secondary institution or graduating from high school in the spring of 2016.
