Continuing Education Clinics

In an ongoing effort to provide professional development for coaches and to supplement the existing NCCP Coach Clinics and the new Instructional Stream Clinics Hockey Canada has launched the Continuing Education series of clinics.
Unlike the Instructional Stream clinics the Continuing Education clinics do not provide certification and have not been endorsed by the CAC as part of the NCCP program. They are not designed in level 1, 2 and 3 format. There is only one clinic per topic.
The current Continuing Education clinic topics are:

  • Small Area Games
  • Practice Planning
  • Practice to Game
  • Shared Ice Practices
  • Shooting & Scoring

These clinics are designed for coaches. They focus on developing the knowledge and skills required by coaches in these specialized areas. Clinics may vary in their requirements. Some of the clinics will require classroom and on ice time while others require only class time.
Continuing Education clinics also provide points toward Maintenance of Certification.
